Time Square goes topless!

Geee... we have been busy! Lots of shoot and also lots of postponing waiting for the weather to be right! Block Branding again was creative with us (not that they ever stop being creative) and got us to shoot some photos of a topless girl for Time Square in Claremont.

Topless is what we do!!!

Most photoshoots that we get contracted to do, we just don't turn up on the shoot! We get involved!! After briefing, we firstly had to look for an appropriate model, than a shortlisted casting to make sure all parties were happy with the talent used (Client, Agency & photographer).
On the Shoot, our model, Zoe Peet from Scene was great and while Ben at Block was making sure that the photos were good for the layout, Erick and I got a few quirky snaps with her mucking around in front of the white background. She was great...

The campaign is out and if you are driving on Stirling Hwy in Claremont, look up for the poster on the Time Square building.

Thanks to Yasmine @ Cision Hair and Suzie @ Luire Carita, for Hair and Make up.

People involved was;
Creative Director: Mark Braddock@Block
Account Director: Renka Harris@Block
Junior Creative: Ben Wright@Block
Retouching: James@John Cheese

Big thanks also to Alvin at Aelkemi for his help.

We used a Nikon D3x which shoot a 22mp photo so they can blow it up for posters, coupled with a 70-200mm lens. Shot in Studio with a soft box.

Microview 24

Here the At-Edge Microview 24 showcases Ryan Hipwood shot at the Rottnest Box stylishly concentrated to make the exit safely. The Rottnest Box is a brutal wave breaking on a ledge full of sharp barnacles. It breaks only occasionally when the conditions of wind and swell direction is right.

Now I think I am up to date with the books and will bring them out to you each time they come out, not two months later!!

Microview 23

Again, trying to catch up and letting you guys know what we are doing. This was mounted on a Bodyboard and triggered remotely using Pocket Wizzards. The camera was actually between the legs of the Bodyboarder Brad Hughes! Ouchh if he fell off....
It was published in the At-edge Microview 23 for our promotion.

The Impossible is now possible!

Great to hear that the impossible project has succeeded their first phase of recreating Polaroid Film. Being an advocate for Polaroid Film, I am very relieved of the outcome! Let's just hope that they bring back the bigger formats sooner than later. They will be launching the first product mid 2010.

The Future is near...

A friend of mine a couple of years ago mentioned to me about super flat screens. Its about a screen being as flat as a page, so the new medium would have a magazine like screen where you could download your new monthly magazine and use the touch screen technology to advance to the next page, thus having a portable screen with a protective cover, and the whole thing as flat as a magazine if all this make sense.

This has gone one step further: check this out it's incredible, it was shot by Alexx Henry for Outside Magazine.

Kalbarri was nice and warm!

Ry Craike called Erick last weekend to come up to Kalbarri as the swell was predicted to be big, and big it was!! The three days he was there the swell was massive but then decreased towards Sunday. Ry of course is an amazing surfer and was ripping the waves to shreds.
